Donations go directly toward purchasing new test devices and supporting tweak developers in the jailbreak community. ZiGuZa will always remain free.
Every contribution, however small, makes a real difference to an independent team.
Thank you to everyone who has supported the project.
All research, tools, and code are open for inspection and contribution.
Jailbreaking iPhones and iOS devices is legal in the United States under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) through a series of exemptions granted by the U.S. Copyright Office.
The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) successfully argued for and obtained DMCA exemptions that clarify the following:
ZiGuZa collects no personal data. The jailbreak tool runs entirely in your browser — we do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, iOS version data, or usage telemetry.
The app uses localStorage solely to remember your tweak preferences. This data is stored locally on your device and never transmitted anywhere.
Clicking the PayPal donation button redirects you to PayPal's own website, which is governed by PayPal's privacy policy. No data is shared with PayPal before your voluntary click.
ZiGuZa is created purely for educational, security research, and interoperability purposes. It is not intended for malicious use in any form.
